MVD Kalahari Company Overview

MVD Kalahari, Consulting Engineers and Town Planners, just like most businesses had a small beginning. In 1959, Mr Sybrand Mostert, former city engineer of Welkom, opened an office under the name SJ Mostert and Partners. A Mr D Erasmus later joined the firm in 1960 changing the name to SJ Mostert and Erasmus. The partnership was expanded when Mr RA van den Berg and CP de Leeuw were admitted as partners. Branch offices were established in 1961 & 1963 in Kimberley and Bloemfontein respectively. In 1968 Mr Erasmus retired and the firm acquired the name, Mostert, van den Berg and de Leeuw, MVD. Mr Mostert died in 1985. During that year a branch office was founded in Port Elizabeth, followed by offices in Mossel Bay and Cape Town in 1987 and 1992 respectively. Now a group of different MVD branches are widely spread over South Africa.

MVD Kalahari has since then branched off into four different departments, Kimberley, Welkom, Pretoria, and Vredenburg offices. Our Company consists of Messrs Leon King, Andries Goliath, Dirk Potgieter, Prodigy Phepheng and Petrus Oosthuizen.

Today the firm is comprised of a team of registered professional engineers who are backed by experienced engineers, technicians, draughtsman and administrative personnel.

The latest in computer technology enables the company to render a comprehensive service for the best customer satisfaction.
MVD Kalahari has been providing civil and structural engineering services to various satisfied public and private clients in the central South African region for over 50 years. We now have a town and regional planning department to add to our impressive services run by Mr Encee Haarhoff.
